We are pround to present the expansion of HIGHTIDE USA! Stemming from our mothership HIGHTIDE Japan with multiple locations in Fukuoka and Tokyo, we have opened yet another USA branch CORNERSHOP in Brooklyn, NY.
CORNERSHOP is a small yet mighty store with curated stationery, desk supplies, wardrobe & accessories, and home goods that give you that "high tide feeling" of fulfillment. Very much like its Los Angeles counterpart, the shop is inspired by Bunbogu-ya, a stationery store that used to stand at various street corners all over Japan. Nowadays only few existing in a neighborhood, stationery, school supplies and bonus sweets are crammed into the tiny store, attracting students and locals to find joy in exchange for a little pocket money.
At CORNERSHOP a colorful array of pens and pencils, notebooks and desk supplies fill up the wooden display cases like sweets in a candy store. But not only that, the space is filled with greenery and fresh air thanks to our store-mate The Moss and Green. The Japanese kokedama bonsai studio brings you joy in connecting with nature and to yourself, and reminds us the value of nurturing love. Turns out the plants are perfect match with pens and paper; the act of slowing time, disconnecting from the digital clutter, looking inwards while improving your live/work space can spread joy to those around you, in ripples.
